Mark Yeoman at Fonds Podiumkunsten

Mark Yeoman (artistic director of Noorderzon) was appointed intendant of Fast Forward, the Performing Arts Fund‘s (Fonds Podiumkunsten) programme for international talent development. Fast Forward exists since January 1st, 2014 and offers talented artists the opportunity to work on a performance or concert, under the wings of a foreign producer. Mark Yeoman will combine his tasks for Fast Forward with his current position as artistic director of Noorderzon Performing Arts Festival in Groningen. In his work for Fast Forward, he will be assisted by a group of talent scouts.
"We will offer a number of young artists from the performing arts the opportunity to develop a project in a production environment abroad. The project should be personally meaningful, practically rewarding and professionaly relevent," says Yeoman.
About Fast Forward
Fast Forward is a program that focuses on the development of talent in an international context. The Performing Arts Fund has chosen a program that establishes connections between talented artists and interesting foreign parties, including renowned international producers, companies, venues or festivals. Not only do the participants in the program have the opportunity to work on a specific project under the wing of leading foreign producers, they can also present themselves with the final result at international venues. In this way, authors are given the chance to make a big step in their development
Fast Forward will run for three years, from 2014 to 2016. In that period, the programme will support between 12 to 15 artists. Total budget of the programme is 1.1 million euros.
