In love with the kangaroo man: a magical visual fairy tale
In her dreams, a girl encounters a being half-man and half-kangaroo, and falls in love with him. Head over heels in love. Completely obsessed by his world, there is only one thing she wants: to become part of his curious universe. He is the medicine to counter her cheerless days. And so she goes far – very, very far – to be able to spend more time with her mysterious kangaroo man. Her obsession transports her into the fathomless depths of the human soul. In ROOMAN, Australian Fleur Elise Noble presents a fabulous visual melange of puppet theatre, video projections, animation, dance and live music. To the soothing sounds of Jamaican Canadian singer Sarah Reid, and set against a backdrop formed by a gigantic, three-dimensional paper stage set, she brings her musical fantasy to life. ROOMAN is a story about love, imagination and the pursuit of happiness. It’s about following your dreams. And especially about waking up and truly living.
