Illustere Figuren | Renault 4, een Auto-Biografie
The adventures of a classic car
In 1961 a car rolled off the assembly line in a factory in France which half a century later would gain cult status: the Renault 4. Leeuwarden theatre collective Illustere Figuren own a 1968 R4 delivery van. Illustrious Figure Joeso was given the classic car by his father, a collector who was forbidden to buy even more cars for himself by his wife, which meant he ended up making a present of it to Joeso. Curious about the background of his 50-year-old car, together with Illustrious Figure Tim, Joeso embarked on a quest to discover the adventures of the Renault 4 Fourgonnette (the typical boulangerie delivery van). This resulted in Renault 4, een Auto-Biografie (Renault 4, an Auto-Biography), a personal musical show about mortality, nostalgia, loss, friendship and the meaning of life.
NOTICE: an hour before the show starts there will be no more tickets available online, but only at the location.
