Keiko Shichijo | An Hour For Piano - Tom Johnson
Concert in the Lutherse Kerk
An hour long fascinating minimal music for piano
The Dutch-Japanese pianist Keiko Shichijo plays a minimal music classic. An Hour for Piano is a work of great beauty by American composer Tom Johnson. The piano piece is exactly an hour long and will make you think of Eric Satie and Nils Frahm. The result is hypnotic ambient music at its best. The piece challenges you in a special way: Tom Johnson asks the visitor to read his notes while listening. In combination with the phenomenal skills of Shichijo, a fascinating listening (and reading!) experience is created.
