Golden nod to Seventies soul
A group of college friends spent their last few dollars to record their first album in 2016, paying off their producer with a case of beer. The buzz around them grew slowly but surely, until last year they finally found deserved worldwide recognition. Even though singer Durand Jones secretly wanted to find fame as a saxophone player, he is now acclaimed as the reincarnation of Otis Redding. Durand Jones & the Indications will be bringing their brand of utterly romantic soul to Het Dok. A lot of groove, a lot of love, and heart-rending sincerity.
“We’re completely convinced. Durand Jones & The Indications’ debut album is soul at its purest and most honest, and as catchy and packed with emotion as the very best in its genre.”
