Het Houten Huis | Altijd Weer

Family show about decency and hidden desires
Before you had a weather app on your phone, you had to make do with a home weather station: an instrument that measures humidity and uses this to predict good (dry) weather or poor (wet) weather. The Altijd Weer (Always weather/Always again) show by the musical theatre company Het Houten Huis is all about the little man and woman who reside in a home weather station. One of them is always standing stock-still outdoors: the woman if the weather is nice, the man if the weather is poor. So husband and wife can never be together. The musician playing live on stage narrates the atmosphere, feelings and text of this wordless tragicomedy full of physical humour and romance.

“A touching performance about a nostalgic, hilarious and universal issue.”
