Holy Fuck

Toy keyboards and pint-sized Star Trek guns
Is it a rock band? Is it a dance act? Or is it something completely different? Holy Fuck's experimental, instrumental music is rhythmic, melodic, chaotic and unpredictable, all at the same time. The Canadians interpret the electronica genre in their very own manner, by combining bass and drums with more unconventional ‘instruments’, such as a 35 mm film projector, toy keyboards and pint-sized Star Trek guns. The result is intelligent electro, combined with a recalcitrant post-punk and noise sound. The band previously played festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza and Glastonbury Festival, but this year they’ll be gracing our beautiful Het Dok stage. So break out your dancing shoes!

‘The band was formed with the intent of creating the equivalent of modern electronic music without actually using the techniques – looping, splicing, programming and the like – of that music.’
