Spanish adolescents celebrate the here and now
Six young friends meet each other on a hill just outside town. It's a warm summer's night, and they drink, dance, chat and kiss. The six revel in a moment they realise is fleeting, embracing a feeling for the here and now as only the young can. They speak and behave as if no one is watching them. Then one of them imagines herself as a 50-year-old woman: what will her life look like then, and how will she reflect on this present moment? As a viewer, you are so close to the action that you feel as if you belong to the group of friends in their safe bubble of endless expectations. Perhaps your thoughts will complement theirs: what were your expectations from life? Have they come true? La Tristura is among today's most promising Spanish theatre companies. In all its light, dreamy, atmospheric simplicity, Future Lovers showcases actors who will no doubt make their way straight into your heart.

Do you want to learn more about this performance and its makers? On August 20th at 19:30 h, this performance is followed by an aftertalk in which you can ask everything you would like to know!

“Yes, they are flesh and bone beings. Beings who wish, like we all do, to love and be loved. The simple vulnerability that make us human, no matter the age. Because we know we have one life, and we have to live it loving”

- Antonio Hernández Nieto, Huffington Post
