Fluffy forest animal orchestra explores space in outrageous puppet musical
Dancing puppets and infectious funk, combined with the grandeur of classic Broadway: the greatest love story ever (or at least since Titanic) is all about a bear. A bear in space. Canadian rapper, illusionist, composer, filmmaker and puppet specialist Josh ‘Socalled’ Dolgin will be opening the 29th edition of Noorderzon with his new, obscure, anarchist puppet musical Space – The 3rd Season. This insane, stand-alone third season, stars a hipster bear going by the moniker of Bear, a fluffy, extremely musical forest animal orchestra, and the alien Fuzzies. Accompanied by the acclaimed Indian-Canadian singer Kiran Ahluhwalia and a 20-strong (!) team led by Hollywood actor Joe Cobden and James Brown band member and funk legend Fred Wesley, you can be certain that a visit to his Socalled guarantees an hour full of deliciously zany entertainment, which was already one of the hits at the discerning Wiener Festwochen. Light-hearted, but with a message, for all ages.

“The puppets are extremely cuddly, the music driving”

- WT, Hamburger Morgenpost
