Humorous ode to the spectator
In times of budget cuts in the arts, it is sometimes dificult to get the proper funding for a performance. What to do if a quintet is too expensive and you can only bring one artist? Italian choreographer and dancer Marco Chenevier shows in his performance Quintetto that the answer lies with the spectator, whom he invites to help him on stage. By constructing a bold, unpredictable improvisation, Chenevier’s solo is brought back to the originally conceived quintet. In this award-winning dance performance, the rationale behind a performance is unraveled in a humorous way. What do stage elements like text, motion and light mean? And what role does the audience play in this? Chenevier can only answer these questions with your support.

“Quintetto relies on Cheveniers talent and quick thinking. He makes it feel like we have all indirectly been allowed to share in the success of something very special.”
