20 augustus | Tarnim (Relate Radio)
We’re dancing with Tarnim on Thursday evening! Expect warm vocals and delicious disco. For years now, Tarnim has been part of Relate Radio. He’s normally the driving force behind Palla d’Uovo, Groningen’s Italo and house and acid collective. Now he brings the wildest and most obscure records, always with a wink to acid and house influences. But this time a bit lighter and brighter.
21 augustus | Emmie Sora (Relate Radio)
Emmie Sora is a Groningen-based DJ with roots in the Dominican Republic. Growing up dancing, she brings a dancer’s perspective to every set, guaranteed to move your feet (and booty). Her sets explore the sounds of the diaspora, blending afrobeats, dancehall, dembow, baile funk, amapiano, and more. Playful, bouncy, and vibrant, her DJ sets make it impossible to stand still.
22 augustus | Pillow Princess (Relate Radio)
Pillow Princess walks the sexy line between Latin music revival and guilty pleasures we don’t even know we have, practicing the fine art of collective booty shaking.
Princess of countless OOST nights, she absorbed the blunt flavor of the Groningen cultural movement, bringing a wealth of experience at the light desk behind the DJ booth with her: the same climaxes and thrills can be heard in her sets, with a soulful and sensual touch.
Modern femininity condensed in a USB stick, Pillow Princes already got plenty hips grinding and faces grinning at Vogelpop, OOST, Subculture parties and countless underground nights.
23 augustus | Looming Iris
Looming Iris is a DJ from Groningen with a penchant for breakbeat, rave, house and indie dance (and everything in-between). From a predilection for leftfield electronic music and indie she co-organised the most colourful party PAUW! in VERA every month. Now, she organises the club night VUURDOOP in Simplon. She also plays at KopjeK, OOST, Paradigm and (underground) raves. In addition, she has years of experience with radio, through her shows at Zomaar Radio, OOG Radio and DJ sets at stations such as Operator Radio, Open Source Radio and more. She hosts a monthly show on Relate Radio: In Focus.
24 augustus | Twan Mulder (Ambient set)
Twan Mulder brings a new refined sound. With a taste for the dark and gritty, his live performances are characterised by a dub-oriented minimalistic approach, filled with floating pads and slow-moving undercurrents. His sets unfold gradually, letting textures breathe and develop in their own time. Subtle shifts and layers keep things evolving, creating an atmosphere that feels raw, focused, and deeply immersive.
25 augustus | Sachiko (Relate Radio)
Some artists take you on a journey. Sachiko pulls you into The Vortex.
Estonia-born and Netherlands-based, Sachiko is a DJ and producer known for crafting bass-driven, high-energy dancefloors with a sensual edge. Through her concept of Making Vortex, she creates a charged connection with the crowd — a shared field of sound, body, and motion.
For this special Noorderzon set, she trades intensity for depth— drawing from dub, atmospheric ambience, and slow tempo grooves, where the pull is quieter but no less magnetic
26 augustus | Skies & Squares (Relate Radio)
Skies & Squares is Mees Doesburg. With his sets the DJ from Groningen brings back feelings of long forgotten clubnights. His sets evoke a sense of nostalgia and capture the imagination with elements of trance, break and downbeat. This Wednesday evening at Noorderzon, he does it a bit warmer than usual, with an uplifting mix of Balearic, melodic deephouse and disco. A reminder to the sun above us — and within us.
27 augustus | Ad-Dy (Relate Radio)
As VERA resident DJ, Ad-Dy is at home in every scene during performances. In his monthly radio show d!skonoir on Relate Radio, he discusses the latest news in post-punk and related genres. The Noorderzon set combines styles, taking us to a disco with a dark edge. He'll take you on a musical journey from 1979 to 2026 and back again, full of passion and energy. Get ready to be surprised by the unknown that still feels familiar; standing still is not an option.
28 augustus | Susobrino
Born in Bolivia, based in Brussels, and deeply connected to the rich sound of Latin America, Susobrino is a musician driven by rhythm, emotion, curiosity, and exploration. His sound blends acoustic and electronic elements into something that's both grounded and unpredictable. Since 2023, he's traveled back to Latin America every year to reconnect with the places, sounds, and people who shaped him. Crying and dancing at the same time – that's Susobrino. A mission made with love.
29 augustus | Pushin Wood
What started out as making music for a skate film, grew into these distinctive DJs from Groningen with one big love: tropical records. They made a name for themselves with dance nights like Bambeats, LOFT, and more recently PUSH IT, while also running their own label focused on Angolan music. With their productions and sets, they've impressed the likes of Mr Scruff, GUTS, and Gilles Peterson — the latter sending them on tour to Cuba following a remix of Cuba's Havana Cultura. Their musical taste spans everything from below-the-equator sounds that get hips swinging, to fat beats that get heads bouncing. As for the guys themselves, nothing rattles them — they're always convinced the best is yet to come, hence their motto: keep on pushin'.
