Door Mijn Oma

Door Mijn Oma (By My Grandma) is a street performance with at its core spontaneity and connection. The project explores how shared memory and identity are transmitted between generations, fostering moments of recognition and connection between strangers through storytelling. It is a warm and shared encounter in the open air, where everyday public spaces become temporary sites of collective memory and intergenerational dialogue. 

As the meeting point between the present and the past, grandmothers are the main protagonists of the performance by carrying stories that often remain confined to the private but that are fundamental parts of our collectivity and cultural reality.

Buitenkans

Buitenkans (loosely: "Golden Opportunity") is Noorderzon's new development track. Driven by artistic curiosity, courage, and the need to explore what a performance can be outside the walls of a theatre, we launched an Open Call in February, which resulted in a huge number of applications. Three makers were selected and given the space to develop new ideas.

You'll experience the results of this track during the festival: three new performances that use public space as their playing field and actively seek out the unexpected. Work in progress, made for a curious audience and a festival environment where encounter, surprise, and experimentation take centre stage. Where and when? You'll find out as you go!

Lorenzo Di Credico (Chieti, 1999) is an Italian dramaturg, maker and cultural scholar based in Groningen. He has worked across the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Italy, developing projects that bring together performance, community engagement, and intercultural dialogue. His experience includes collaborations with international festivals and organizations and spans from opera productions to academic publications. Lorenzo’s work is driven by a curiosity for storytelling, participation, and creating meaningful encounters between people. Through artistic and cultural projects, he explores how performance can foster connection, reflection, and collective imagination
