KINK

KINK is a solo about control: desiring it, resisting it, losing it. In the performance, Nik Rajšek explores control on stage as both a driving force and a point of collapse. The body turns, withdraws, and asserts itself in a constant tension between dominance and surrender. Movement and music alternate and shape each other in a continuously changing dialogue. Being watched becomes both a threat and a sensation, a response to the discomfort of exposure and the secret pleasure of wanting more. KINK invites the audience into a provocative power dynamic in which control is questioned, shared, and continually redefined.

Nik Rajšek has been selected by the European platform Aerowaves for KINK. Aerowaves is co-funded by the European Commission's Creative Europe Platform programme for the promotion of emerging artists.

Nik Rajšek (Slovenië) begon zijn dansopleiding in 2007 aan het Kunst Gymnasium voor Hedendaagse Dans in Ljubljana. In 2011 vervolgde hij zijn studie aan de Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (opleiding Moderne Theaterdans), waar hij in 2015 afstudeerde. Tijdens zijn studie liep hij stage bij Club Guy en Roni in Groningen, als onderdeel van de Poetic Disasters Club. Sinds 2015 werkt Nik samen met Ann van den Broek in haar gezelschap WArd/waRD. In 2025 startte Nik een driejarig ontwikkelingstraject bij Station Noord als één van de aangesloten kunstenaars. Hij slaat een nieuw creatief pad in, waarbij hij zich richt op het verkennen van zijn eigen artistieke stem en het herdefiniëren van wat dans voor hem betekent.
