A nunique soundscape of Greek lyrics, spoken word and improvisation

Pinelopi Tseliou is a Greek vocalist-guitarist, songwriter and composer, born in 1997. Her musical journey began at an early age with piano and choir lessons before she went on to study Jazz Music, specialising in Jazz Vocal Performance at the Modern Conservatory of Thessaloniki in Greece.

Since 2017, Pinelopi has worked professionally as a singer and guitarist within the jazz scene. With her band Penelopi’s Cruise, she has performed across Europe, appearing in cities including Copenhagen, Berlin, Manchester, Amsterdam and Sofia, as well as in Greece.

In 2023, she moved to the Netherlands to expand her musical network and focus on developing her own artistic work. The same year, she launched Plastique, a solo project centred around her original compositions. Using live looping, she creates layered vocal soundscapes that combine Greek lyrics, spoken word and improvisation, often inviting audience interaction.. Since 2024, Pinelopi has been part of the Sofar Sounds network, performing in cities such as Amsterdam, The Hague and Copenhagen.

Her passion for jazz and Brazilian musicinspired her to write original compositions, which she performs with her quartet. Pinelopi is currently working on her debut LP, scheduled for release in 2026. She is also developing a short film titled GRIPI, based on another upcoming album, in collaboration with musician Grigoris Liolios and visual artist Anaida Melivia.

Alongside her work as a performer, Pinelopi hosts house music sessions as a platform to support new projects of the music community, while also working as a vocal and music teacher.
