Steebs’ Method is a jazz rap band from Groninger soil. Born from a deep desire for creative freedom and artistic independence, the group combines classic boom-bap beats with rich jazz harmonies and philosophical, narrative-driven lyrics.
Frontman Steeby (Jesse Kortenschijl) discovered his passion for storytelling within hip-hop at an early age. With releases such as Alright and Rat Race, he has become one of the leading voices in North Netherlands' hip-hop scene. Between 2022 and 2025, he sold out two headline shows at Simplon, performed at ESNS and SPOT Festival, and toured venues across the Netherlands.
Since 2024, Steeby has joined forces with The Method, a jazz-infused hip-hop band made up of talented young musicians from the Northern Netherlands and beyond. The band is known for its energetic live performances, featuring intricate compositions, virtuosic solos and irresistible, head-bobbing-beats.
The combination of Steeby's powerful and vulnerable lyrics with the boundless creativity of The Method creates a unique and inspiring live experience for anyone who loves music.
