WORKING AND WHACKING

Coco Coquelicot has invited Groningen’s very own dance superstar, ZUKO, to join you in celebrating queerness for an entire evening. First, ZUKO will lead a WHACKING class, whilst Coco provides the music. 

Immediately after the dance class, you can put what you’ve learnt into practice, as the dance floor will remain open for another hour and a half so you can let your hair down! 

Known to many as the DJ Mommy of Groningen, the fierce feminist and unapologetic Coco Coquelicot is far more than just a selector behind the decks. As one of the first female professional DJs to emerge from the north of the Netherlands, she has become a driving force in the city's underground and queer culture. Since the very beginning in 2014 she has combined club culture with community building, activism, and care. As co-founder and chair of Relate Radio she created a platform that amplifies underrepresented voices and nurtures overlooked talent, while her proven commitment to safer, more inclusive nightlife events has made her one of the most influential figures in the cultural landscape of the North.

Dani Akollo is a well-known face in the dance world. He specializes in urban club styles, with a strong focus on the expressive and rhythmic dance style whacking. As a performer he appears at venues such as Butts and Paradigm, but it was only in early 2026 that the wider public truly got to know him through television. He shone on NPO 1 as one of the selected dance talents in the second season of the NTR program Project Dans.
